We have been alerted that there has been a security breach at one of the major credit card clearing houses which processes debit and credit card transactions. This does not mean that your debit card was compromised, but as a security measure, many debit cards have been "hotcarded." If you try to use your debit card and it doesn't work, please call a Bank of Walterboro customer service representative at your local branch. If you would like to know before you use it, you may also check with the customer service representative at your local branch.
